Quilts On A Mission
The Russian invasion of Ukraine has forced thousands of Ukrainian families to flee their homes having to leave almost everything behind including their sense of stability and family.
Quilts represent love, stability, safety, security and belonging and with over 20 million quilters in the world we can make a difference. Quilts for Ukraine is a call to action to all the quilters in the world to donate a quilt.
I am interested. What can I do?
Blankets are one of the things in high demand by Ukrainian refugees. There is no better time to start than now! Quilters make quilts out of a passion and love for creating something special to pass on to someone else. Show your love for creating and your passion for sharing.
- Look through your stash of quilts and donate one.
- Gather together and create quilts to donate.
- Look through the stash of quilt yardage you saved for that special project and make a quilt specifically for this purpose.
We are on a mission to collect quilts locally in Northern California. We also want to connect with like-minded quilting groups across the United States and throughout the world.
The mission is to donate quilts to Ukrainian refugees. There are so many ways you can help. Donate quilts, help connect quilters with organizations shipping relief supplies, and putting your sewing skills to other uses that will enhance the lives of Ukrainian refugees who have lost literally everything.
